Bringing a bit of levity to International Women’s Day today, this comic short film offers a tongue-in-cheek apology to women for the way they’ve been depicted in ads over the years.

Created in collaboration with a group of passionate creative folk, and directed by Tiny Bullet (aka Tina Bull) through Thomas Thomas Films, the video wittily calls out common advertising tropes, from urging girls to rollerskate while on their period (frankly, we’d rather curl up on the couch with a hot-water bottle), to suggesting that a yoghurt is the highlight of a woman’s day (when clearly, it’s a cheese and pickle Pret baguette).
